Weapons recovered in Tangail

Police recovered six foreign made pistols, 41 rounds of live bullets, four hand bombs and eight magazines from Garo Bazar bus stand under the Ghatail upazila of Tangail district Tuesday morning.
Officer-in-charge of Ghatail police station Fazlul Kabir said local people found a bag under a bush near a building of Garo bazar bus stand area and informed the police.
A team of Ghatail police rushed to the spot and recovered the weapons at about 9:30 am.
Kabir said there weapons might have been left there by those who snatched away the three convicted militants of Jamaat-ul Mujahideen Bangladesh.
A groups of armed miscreants Sunday ambushed a prison van carrying the three militants from Kashimpur central jail to a Mymensingh court and snatched away the militants killing a policeman at Trishal in Mymensingh on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway.
